Defining spirituality

Before we dive in, let’s go ahead and look at the Oxford Languages definition of spirituality:

“Spirituality: the quality of being concerned with the human spirit or soul as opposed to material or physical things.”

Since the pandemic really popped off and the end of the world seemed close at hand, spirituality has hit the mainstream and the market is flooded. That’s both wonderful (woo! Encouraging people to listen to their own intuition and be guided where they feel they belong!) and overwhelming (wtf—too much noise! I have the attention span of a gnat!).

And you, sweet baby birds, all of you—that’s why this forum exists. To help guide you in a direction that feels right for you.

When I first discovered Reiki three years ago, it completely changed my life. But the road was rough. I had access to my wonderful mentors and reiki masters, who were happy to entertain my questions on all things ‘woo’ all day. But even with their shared knowledge? I still didn’t know where the fuck to start.

It can be daunting to shuffle through endless podcasts, videos and posts trying to learn about different spiritual viewpoints and figure out where you fit with this new community. You know you want to explore; you’re no longer resonating with what you have been told or known to be true; but damn. It can be hard to find your tribe—shit, it can be hard to know where to begin

We’re here to connect you with information on any and all of the different sects, aspects and rituals that can be considered ‘spiritual.’ And that can cover a lot of ground: some people feel that their morning coffee rituals align with their spiritual selves.

And guess what? THERE ARE NO RULES.  If it aligns with your spirit, then explore it! This is simply an education hub and a spiritual community accepting of all (well-intentioned) types. Explore! Get curious! And build a spiritual practice that is entirely your own.
